Tips to Help You Win the Bedtime Battle

So you are thinking about starting your bedtime challenge and you’re looking for some tips to get a good routine together.  Here is a simple Bedtime Battles Pinterest Board that we started to help you develop your own strategy.

My family’s bedtime routine is pretty simple and we start it at least 3 hours before the target bedtime:

  1. Dinner
  2. Clean Up
  3. Bath Time
  4. Quiet Playtime in the Room (no screen time)
  5. Bible Story Time
  6. Prayer Time
  7. Tuck In
  8. Lights Out (night lights must be red (we have a diffuser/night light which you can use to change the color) or no light at all to eliminate blue light which prevents kids from falling asleep.  You can read more on the research behind this here)
