A New Thing

It’s that time of year!  Time for reflecting on how the year went.  This is when I start asking myself the tough questions.  Michael Hyatt actually has a list of questions in his book Your Best Year Ever that he suggests you do at the end of EVERY year.

It includes questions such as:

  1. How did you see this past year going?
  2. What were your plans, dreams, goals?
  3. What were your disappointments or regrets?
  4. What did you accomplish that you were most proud of?
  5. What were two or three specific themes that kept recurring?
  6. What were the major life lessons you learned this past year?

It is in asking ourselves these hard questions that we can complete the past and make plans towards the future.  As George Santanyna said:

“Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it.”

We need to remember the highs and the lows so that we don’t travel those lows again.

This is ONE of the ways I start preparing for the new year. I’ll share more in the coming weeks.  In the meantime, don’t forget to sign up for Create a SMARTER Vision Board  where you will learn how to create a SMART vision board to achieve your goals.
