Psalms 37:23-24 speaks beautifully to my heart. It says:
“The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord: and he delighteth in his way.
Though he fall, he shall not be utterly cast down: for the Lord upholdeth him with his hand.”
It reminds me that when I commit myself to God, not only will He order my steps, but if I fall He will uphold me.
The scripture says “though he fall” which indicates to me that life will NOT be perfect. Bad things will happen to me because we live in an evil world until Jesus comes back to redeem us and make the earth new. There will be times when I will falter BUT the Word says “he shall not be utterly cast down”.
Today, as we write Psalms 37:23-24 on our hearts, let us ask God to help us remember that our steps are ordered by Him and He will uphold us.
